Book of Faith Initiative
Open Scripture, join the Conversation!
This is a call to ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) Lutherans and beyond to do what we have always claimed we do: read, study, reflect and meditate upon the Bible together. The vision of this initiative is for us to become more fluent in the first language of faith, the language of scripture, in order that we might live into our calling as a people renewed, enlivened, empowered, and sent by the Word. Thursdays 7:00p.m.

Forum on Sunday Mornings at 9:00 a.m.
Each Sunday during the year, a forum is held for adults and confirmed youth. A presenter provides background on a timely biblical, theological, ethical or social theme. Time for discussion follows.

During the summer (June– September), book reviews are presented by members of the church and have resulted in lively discussion on timely issues.

Spiritual Oxygen for Parents
Spiritual Oxygen for Parents – Friday mornings at 9:15. This Bible study for parents provides a time to reflect, to interact with other parents, and to take a deep breath before you resume your important daily work of parenting your children.

Whether a person is preparing for adult baptism, desiring deeper knowledge of the faith, or affirming the faith passed on to them, staff members at St. John’s Church are available to suggest resources and programs for individualized learning at home.
