Spiritual development
for Adults:
Lifelong learning for
Today’s
world.
At Baptism, God begins a relationship that we explore and grow in
for the rest of our lives. Adult participation in lifelong faith
learning is one of the core values and goals at St. John’s
Church. Opportunities for adults include:
The
Adult Forum on Sunday Mornings at 9:00 a.m.
Each Sunday during the year, a forum is held for adults. A presenter
provides background on a timely biblical, theological, ethical
or social theme. Time for discussion follows.
During the summer (June 17 – September 2, 2007), book reviews
are presented by members of the church and have resulted in lively
discussion on timely issues.
On June 17, member and published author Anoo Verghis
who will present her new cookbook “Karala Cooking: A Distinctive
Cuisine from India’s Spice Coast.” Limited copies
of the book will be available for purchase at the time of her
presentation.
