The Ministry of Music
George Moser, Director of Music

In Baptism, God claims and welcomes every talent we have. For all our gifts, music has best combined thinking and feeling to express our faith and enhance our worship. For cultivating and using this art, St. John’s Church provides:

  • Choirs for people of all ages
  • Opportunities for instrumentalists to lead and enhance worship
  • Opportunities for participation in special programs on festival days and at concerts and activities throughout the year
  • Music in which all worshippers glorify God in hymns, songs, and chants

Summer Choir Begins June 17

If you would enjoy singing with a choir in an informal setting, we have a place for you! Being part of the Summer Choir means no weeknight rehearsals and it is a time-specific commitment. The Choir sings from June 17 through July 8. This choir is open to all youth (middle school and above) and adults. We meet in the Choir Room at 9:50a.m. on Sunday morning to review hymns and liturgical music and, if we have enough people, to prepare an easy anthem. A sign-up sheet is posted in the main entry hallway. Come and sing!
