Children’s Faith Formation begins in September. We meet Sundays from 9:00–10:00 AM. We sing, pray, read the Bible, and interact together as we learn what it means to follow Jesus. Inter-generational events are offered throughout the year the opportunity to celebrate and learn together.

Children in Worship:

Encouraging the participation of children in worship is a core value at St. John’s Church. Each Sunday at the 10:30 AM service following the Gospel lesson, the children are invited to come to the altar to hear a message prepared especially for them.

Childcare is provided on Sunday mornings, led by a professional childcare provider.

First Communion:

During Lent, children prepare to receive their first Holy Communion on Easter Sunday. Decisions about the appropriate age of reception are decided between the parents, child, and the pastors. The program includes interactive learning sessions with the children, their parents, Deacon Walker, and the pastors.
