Christmas at Sea Program: Make hats and scarves for the Seamen’s Church Institute, after church TODAY. Supplies will be provided or bring your own. Those who aren’t knitters may join to sign and attach gift tags.

Summer Fun Nights, “Summer of Joy,” TONIGHT from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. These gatherings are for EVERYONE—kids, youth, adults, seniors, families, singles, friends! This month’s outreach collection will be for GRACE. We will be collecting baby diapers, baby wipes, and feminine hygiene products, due TONIGHT.

Lunch Bunch: Our Lunch Bunch Bible Study will begin again on Wednesday, September 3 from 12:00–2:00 PM in the library. All are welcome at this biweekly gathering. Bring a lunch, come for Bible study, discussion, fellowship, and prayer. We will delve into the book of Genesis.

St. John’s Choir: It is almost time to resume another choir season! We welcome new singers, former choir members, and current singers to join the choir. The choir is open to high school students through adults and rehearses Wednesdays at 7:30–9:00 PM beginning September 3. They sing most Sundays (September to June) at the 10:30 AM service. Contact Christopher Harlow-Jennings, Director of Music for more information. 

Homecoming Sunday, September 7: Join us as we kickoff the fall program year. This is an exciting time to re-engage in worship, education, music, and service. Services will be held at 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM followed by a picnic at Noon. Sign up in the weekly email or on the sheet in the entryway. We ask that you bring a side dish or salad to share.

Fall Worship Volunteer Sign Ups: Sign Ups for the fall services are now open. There will be a training session on September 14 at 9:00 AM for all volunteers. Please sign up today!

Community Food Bank Volunteer Day at their Hillside location on September 20 from 11:00 AM–1:30 PM. They can accommodate a total of 15 volunteers. Sign up by September 3 in the weekly email.

Halloween Hoopla: Volunteers are needed to help plan this year’s Halloween Hoopla being held at St. John’s on Friday, October 24. There are jobs for all ages. Contact Jama Bowman.
