Christmas at Sea Program: Make hats and scarves for the Seamen’s Church Institute, after church August 24. Supplies will be provided or bring your own. Those who aren’t knitters may join to sign and attach gift tags.

 A Summer BRIDGES Run will be in Rahway on Thursday, August 14. Contact Carmen Johnson or Amy Tomlinson to participate.

Bishop Installation, August 23, 2:00 PM: The Rev. Dr. Christa Compton will be installed as the bishop of the NJ Synod at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens. All are welcome.

Summer Fun Nights, “Summer of Joy,” August 24 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. These gatherings are for EVERYONE—kids, youth, adults, seniors, families, singles, friends! This month’s outreach collection will be for GRACE. We will be collecting baby diapers, baby wipes, and feminine hygiene products beginning TODAY and will be due August 24.

Fellowship Time Help Needed: We need food donations for our fellowship time (Sundays from 9:00 AM - 12:00 Noon). They can be homemade or store-bought — baked goods/bagels, fruit/veggies, and cheese & crackers are just some ideas. We all need to pitch in and support this ministry. Sign up in the weekly email.

Halloween Hoopla: Volunteers are needed to help plan this year’s Halloween Hoopla being held at St. John’s on Friday, October 24. There are jobs for all ages. Contact Jama Bowman.
