Archives Corner, TODAY: The Archives will display Confirmation albums from 1908 to the present in the library. Church records are official documents, saved in perpetuity, and are vital information for church family history and genealogical research. We encourage you to share with us your confirmation story. All of the extensive albums on our church life may be viewed in the corner conference room. The Archives Committee meets on Fridays at 1:00 PM.
2025 Graduates: If you have a graduate in the family, please send a recent photo and a brief sentence about their upcoming plans for the future to Jama Bowman by TODAY.
ASP Fundraiser: Volunteers are preparing for their upcoming service trip to McDowell County, WV. The Peace by Piece Fundraiser runs for four Sundays beginning TODAY. Donors will have the opportunity to “purchase” siding, decking, windows, roofing, and more ($10 and up) to renovate our model home. Full or partial sponsorships are welcomed; cash or check accepted.
New Jersey Synod Assembly, June 5–7, will be held in East Brunswick. St. John’s voting members are Wayne Dietterick, Grace Miller, Amy Tomlinson, Luke Tomlinson, Deacon Linda Walker, Pastor Colón Hernández, and Pastor Scalet. The Assembly will elect our next bishop. Pray for our synod during this transition.
Summit Has Pride, June 7, 3:30-7:00 PM on the Village Green, to support the LGBTQIA+ community. We need members to be representatives of our congregation, to meet our neighbors, and to enjoy a fun night out! Sign up in the weekly email for this or any of the upcoming events.
Pentecost and Confirmation, June 8, ONE SERVICE at 10:30 AM: We will be celebrating the gift of the Holy Spirit and the birthday of the church. Two of our young people will be affirming their baptism. Join us at 9:00 AM for a Confirmation Celebration and the Rite of Confirmation at the 10:30 AM service. Wear red!
Church Picnic, Sunday, June 8, after worship. Sign up in the rear entryway or online, so we can plan on food and setup. Bring a side dish, salad or dessert to share.
Summer Worship Schedule: Starting June 15 through August 31, we will be worshiping together at ONE service beginning at 9:15 AM. During the summer when attendance is lighter, a single service makes better use of our worship volunteers and makes for a fuller assembly. It will be wonderful to worship as one congregation!

Summer Fun Nights: Once a month beginning June 29 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. The theme this year is Summer of Joy! These gatherings are for ALL PEOPLE—kids, youth, adults, seniors, families, singles, friends, YOU! Each event includes dinner, a Bible story, activities, and worship. Additional dates are July 27 and August 24, watch your weekly email for more information.
Celebrate the Ministry of Bishop Tracie Batholomew on Sunday, June 29 from 5:00 - 10:00 PM at the Hyatt Regency Princeton for dinner, a program, cash bar, and lots of dancing. Music by The Urban Guerrilla Orchestra and DJ Ol Skool. Tickets are $50 per person. You must register by June 15. The Hyatt Regency is located at 102 Carnegie Center, Princeton, NJ 08540.
